Volleyball: Pope stays No. 1 as winning streak hits 13

All four No. 1 teams from last week remain in the top spot in the PrepCountry.com/GACA coaches volleyball poll for the week of Sept. 17.

Pope (28-2) appears to have the most momentum heading toward the area playoffs with a 13-match winning streak in Class AAAA. The Greyhounds have swept their last 12 opponents 2-0. RoundingĀ out the top three in Class AAAA are Chattahoochee and Whitewater. which moves from fourth to third.

In Class AAAAA, the top five teams remain unchanged as Harrison, North Cobb and Walton are the top three.

St. Pius was tabbed No. 1 again for the week, but the Golden Lions lost twice last weekend after having their 23-match winning streak snapped. Sandy Creek and Oconee County return in second and third, respectively.

In Class AA/A, the top three teams remain unchanged–Blessed Trinity, Greater Atlanta Christian and Eagle’s Landing Christian.
