Basketball: Bradwell replaces Brookwood at No. 1 in AAAAA

The Class AAAAAPrepCountry/GACA girls basketball coaches poll saw the biggest shakeup this week. Bradwell Institute (25-0) jumped from No. 3 to replace Brookwood at No. 1. The Broncos (23-2) dropped to dropped to No. 5 after losing two straight games last week. ┬áNorth Cobb moved up from fourth two second and two new teams entered the poll this week — North Gwinnett at No. 4 and Milton at No. 10.

Vidalia is the new No. 1 team in Class AA, replacing Kendrick which dropped to No. 2. Both teams entered the region tournaments undefeated at 25-0.

The No. 1 teams in the other three class are unchanged.

Chamblee remained No. 1 in Class AAAA but lost in the 6-AAAA after the poll was released Tuesday. Chattahoochee moved up from third to second and Forest Park rose from fifth to third.

In Class AAA, the top five teams held their positions with Washington County and Dalton remaining undefeated at No. 1 and No. 1 respectively.

Wesleyan remained No. 1 in Class A where the top seven teams held their places.
